Meet The Artists

Dan Cameron has been immersed in the world of art since childhood, beginning with a love of comic books that inspired him to read, collect, and eventually create. His passion deepened during his teenage years, when he discovered a natural talent for sketching and painting. From that point on, Dan dedicated every spare moment outside of work and school to developing his artistic skills.

Although he was always drawn to the tattoo industry, Dan initially worked in labor-focused jobs until 2003, when he was offered an apprenticeship at the now-closed Iron Will Tattoo under the mentorship of Steve Lyseng. There, he began learning the craft and gradually established himself within Calgary’s tattoo community.

Dan continued refining his skills at two of the city’s most respected shops: Immaculate Concept and Deadly Tattoos, where he spent 11 years evolving his technical abilities and shaping his own distinct style. Over time, his talent and reputation grew in equal measure.

In 2016, after more than a decade in the industry, Dan realized a longtime dream by opening his own studio: Ambassador Tattoo. Since then, it has become a recognized and respected part of Calgary’s tattoo scene.
